Entries and Registration
NEXT EVENT: SATURDAY 25 AUGUST 2012
The next 5150 Bela Bela Triathlon will take place on Saturday 25 August 2012 at Forever Resorts Warmbaths.
Race Entry Fees:
Individual race entries are online and are open to all athletes who are 18 years of age on race day and older. Teams are open to athletes of 16 years of age on race day and older. (Refer to section on “Race Categories & Prize Money.”)
Normal Entry (21 February 2012 - 30 July 2012)
- South African: R 800 (excl TSA Day License Fee) - EasyReg fee of R20.00 is charged on entry
- International: € 80 (excl TSA Day License Fee) - EasyReg fee of R20.00 is charged on entry
- Teams: R1000 Two or three person team format (excl TSA Day License Fee). - EasyReg fee of R25 is charged on entry
- The Day License Fee (R70) is payable in cash at registration in Bela Bela
- EARLY BIRD ENTRY SAVES 15%: Those athletes who have taken advantage of our Early Bird pre-register offer must complete payment by the 20th of February 2012 and you, as a South African individual will only pay R695.
For those athletes NOT paying online by Credit Card, but via a direct bank deposit or an EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer), PLEASE note on the following rules:
- The 24 hour rule applies. Your name will not go onto the start list unless we have received this proof of payment.
- We must receive proof of your payment within 24 hours of you doing the online entry. This can be by fax or by e-mail.

Should you make your payment after the 24hour period, your entry will be compromised and your slot will be released if the race fills up before we receive your payment notification. We will not be obliged to reserve your entry if no payment notification is received.
Please assist all parties concerned and let’s avoid unnecessary last minute bottle neck administration.
Day licenses
Day Licenses are applicable to athletes who are not registered with Triathlon South Africa (TSA) through its various provincial structures (i.e. CGT, EPTA, KZNTA, WPTA, GNT, NWT, ATA & FSTA).
TSA’s mandate is the development and administration of the sport of triathlon, as well as the training of race officials/referees. The day license fee is a day membership fee and goes towards insurance for both athletes and the event. Athletes who are registered have pre paid these costs in an annual lump sum payment.
The Day License Fee is a Day Membership of TSA and is over and above the race entry fee for individuals. We will have an up to date list of TSA members at race registration at Bela Bela. If your name doesn’t appear on the list you will have to pay the Day License Fee in cash. Register with TSA in good time. Athletes whose application is in “process” in race week will be considered NOT to be TSA members and will have to pay the Day License fee.
In the case of teams, each team will have to pay a R100 day license fee.

Race Registration
The registration process entails concluding formalities for the race such as signing the indemnity form, collection of your race packs, race numbers, timing chips and verifying information. Each athlete must collect their OWN race packs and must be able to verify their identity by an Identity Document, Passport or Driving Licence card. You cannot collect a race pack on behalf of someone else. With teams, the whole team need to be present at registration. Each team member need to sign the indemnity form. In the case of minors, a parent/legal guardian must accompany the minor to sign the necessary documents.
Should you not be a registered TSA athlete, you will also need to pay for the day license at Registration (please bring cash along).
Registration takes place at the Forever Resorts Warmbaths in Bela Bela on the following days and times:
- Friday 24th of August 2011 10:00-18:00 (Polokwane room, Forever Resorts Warmbaths)
- Saturday 25th of August 2011 08:00-10:00 (Polokwane room, Forever Resorts Warmbaths)
Enter the 5150: (All entries for the 5150 are online. You can pay on line by credit card when you enter this race or pay with a direct bank deposit or an electronic fund transfer (EFT). In the former two cases this must happen within 24 hours of entry).
