This is a short overview of the race course.

The 5150 Bela Bela Triathlon takes place within Warmbaths, a Forever Resort's premises in Bela Bela, Limpopo Province.

The 1500m swim takes place in the Cable Ski Dam and consist of a one and a three quarter lap in a clockwise direction around the island. The Dam is at most places shallow enough for an adult to stand in. The event start will be completed in staggered waves depending on age group and gender.
The bike course consists of two laps. The 19km turnaround in town is a kilometer from the transition at the Hospital/Luna Road intersection. The course is hilly with 364m of climbing over the entire 40km course.
Athletes will leave the main entrance of Forever Resorts Warmbaths, across Chris Hani Drive onto Luna Rd, then up Grobler/Robertson Rd and out on the Bela Bela Dam Road. At the turn around point athletes will backtrack, back into town and left into Moffat Road. This lap is repeated from the Luna/Hospital Rd intersection before athletes will return to the transition area at the end of lap 2.
There is an aid station at the end of lap 1 on Moffat Road, just after the penalty tent.
Highest elevation: 1301 meters

The 10km run course consists of two laps of five kilometres each on the premises Forever Resorts Warmbaths. The route meanders through the camp site and chalets. The run course is fast and flat. There is a mere 17m gain over the entire 10km run course.
Elastic bands are handed to athletes at the end of lap 1. Athletes will pass aid stations six times over the course of 10km.
